When the student showed Soken O'sensei the poem, he was delighted, and very much enjoyed it. Therefore, anyone wishing to analyze the meaning of this poem should remember that any phrase, including "you may enter the Temple of Shaolin" was not written or developed by him, and therefore does not carry any special meaning from him. |
